PLASTINATION

- Plastination Plastination is a technique for preserving tissues, organs, and whole bodies for medical purposes and public display first developed by Gunther von Hagens in 1977. Is a novel method that involves replacing water and fat in tissues with a polymer (such as silicone or polyester) to produce a dry durable specimen. We have modeled some human organs and body parts and integrated them into different environments along with other geometric elements within a contemporary context, giving rise to these 5 sets of images.
