- Beeswax is a very versatile material that has been used in different fields throughout history, from sculpture and art to medicine and teaching. In art, molten wax can be used in sculptures and anatomical models, and is known as ceroplastic, which consists of working molten wax to create sculptures and anatomical models, and is known for its ability to achieve great realism and elicit a wide range of sensations in the viewer. In medicine, ceroplasty has been used as a means of scientific dissemination and as an alternative and complement to anatomical dissections. In the 18th century, wax became a widely used material for medical education, as it was inexpensive and malleable and allowed the recreation of reality in great detail. In this work, we have used ceroplastic in a contemporary context, combining it with the digital world to create works that simulate having been made through this technique. These works have been carefully modeled and textured without the help of any artificial intelligence, maintaining the detail and beauty of traditional wax sculptures.
