BANDO" is a work of neo-expressionist abstract 3D sculptures in which we have employed rough materials, shapes, and bright colors. Each piece represents a primitive emotional violence marked by the architecture of the environment.
The sculptures, characterized by spontaneous forms and compositions, convey a sense of urgency and primal emotion. The use of unconventional forms and textures adds a layer of complexity, underscoring the rejection of formal constraints in favor of an intuitive and expressive process.
The distorted figures symbolize internal struggles and conflicts inherent to the human experience. This approach echoes the neo-expressionist inclination to delve into the depths of the psyche, using art as a medium to confront and communicate raw, unfiltered emotions.
The architecture of the environment plays a crucial role in shaping the emotional narrative of "BANDO." The juxtaposition of the sculptures within the space creates a dialogue between the raw and untamed energy of the artwork and the surrounding context. The environment becomes an integral part of the narrative.
This series of works symbolizes the courage to explore the depths of human emotions. The visual strength and energy inherent in the bright colors and spontaneous compositions align with the concept of saying "YES" to the present moment and the future. The sculptures not only confront the darker aspects of emotions but also celebrate the strength and resilience of the human spirit.
A big thanks to Greg Zaal, Sergej Majboroda and Andreas Mischok.
